Program Development
All programming will be created by staff members at Playtrium Daycare who are fully qualified with an Early Childhood Education diploma from a college of applied arts and technology and are registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators. Each staff member is First Aid and CPR certified which includes training for infants, children and adults. Staff members, volunteers and students are screened before working in the program which includes undergoing a criminal reference check.
Playtrium Day Care programming will be developmentally appropriate and will include both individual and group activities. An additional benefit to attending Playtrium Day Care is we have access to The Playtrium and when there is inclement weather the children still have the opportunity for gross motor play!
Playtrium Day Care may also plan to take children from the daycare premises. Consent forms will be sent out in advance with information on where the field trip will be, how we will get there and any other pertinent information.
Playtrium Day Care believes all children should be given the same opportunity and we work with local community resources to develop specialized programs for children with special needs.
The Playtrium Day Care will be able to visit the Playtrium and has a Playtrium safety policy in effect to explain the procedures that staff, volunteers and students must follow while visiting the Playtrium with the daycare children. This policy will be reviewed before work has commenced, signed and reviewed annually.
