HEALTH , SAFETY & SECURITY

Everyone must wear socks. The reason for this policy is that bare feet are unsanitary. All adults and children are asked to be wearing socks, because outside shoes and boots will bring germs, debris and dirt into our facility. When everyone is in sock feet there is no chance that a child may kneel or crawl on small pieces of stone or worse, glass brought in on shoes. Also it protects our carpets and floors making it a cleaner safer place to play.
Allergy Aware:
No outside food or beverages are allowed in the facility. We are an “allergy aware” facility. Please ask to see our ingredient listings if you have concerns about food and material Allergies and Intolerances. We do not allow people to bring in any containers of snacks, because, unless we check the contents of every container we cannot monitor this facility 100% and keep it safe. We ask that this policy be strictly adhered to.
Controlled Environment:
Playtrium is inspected twice a year by the Health unit. Our 'sprinkler system' is tested annually by Fire Safety Professionals. Our structure is checked and cleaned a minimum of twice a week. A routine full maintenance check of the structure is performed annually and we close Playtrium for 3 days after Labour Day in order to carry out necessary improvements.
Adult friendly and Secure:
Playtrium's facilities are designed to include adults. We encourage adults to explore the benefits of play with their children in a secure space. Playtrium is also equipped with magnetically locked doors. Switches at reception control the doors, with the exception of the fire doors, which are alarmed. All mag-locks are released in the event of an emergency.
